Hi there,
Last Friday marked a big milestone for Voices For Forrest.
Our new committee, got together to share a glass of champagne to celebrate our successes so far, and to plan a winning strategy going forward.

From L to R - Treasurer Jodi Larke, Charlotte Rawlinson, Secretary Jason Adamson, Wendy Astbury, Convenor Thomas Chadwick, Trish Delaney, Dr. Sue Chapman and David Mitchell. Not pictured but part of the committee, Terry Siefken.
First things first ... Congratulations to our volunteers across Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River.
The amazing crew who showed up over the weekend of National Action on a Gas Tax (shout out to Janet, Jenni, Margaret, Alison, Barnaby, Nigel, David, Neil, Trevor, Jeanette, Sue, Malcolm, Gita, Hana, Trish, Julian and Wendy) were so dedicated and determined that Forrest was second in all of Australia with numbers of signatures obtained.
So don't stop now - the petition remains open until the end of the Parliamentary year so keep talking about it and sending people to the webpage to sign A fair go for our Gas.

Come along to our Event in Bunbury Friday October 16, to learn about How to navigate those difficult conversations around Climate
Change the Conversation about Climate
Particularly now that the Liberal Party seemed determine to follow One Nation down the drain hole of doom with the return of climate denialism and promotion of fossil fuels
Over two hours, you’ll explore how to:
- Navigate scepticism, apathy, doomism and denial without the conversation shutting down
- Share your own climate story in a way that feels natural and authentic
- Ask better questions, listen well and find common ground
- Turn everyday conversations into opportunities for connection and action
This isn’t about winning arguments or knowing every climate fact. It’s about learning how to have conversations that keep people engaged.
Whether you’re completely new to climate conversations or want to sharpen your skills, you’ll leave with practical tools you can use straight away.
We’ll also have some hearty Friday night snacks to tide you over.
Tickets are $25,helping Climate for Change keep its resources current and continue this work. Community Access and Concession tickets are also available.
Come along, meet others in the community and help us change the conversation about climate. RSVP HERE
Above all else, Go well and enjoy Kambarang.
Sue, on behalf of the VFF committee
Could you be our next Candidate?
We came so close last election and would love to be able to support the right individual to run and win at the next Federal Election. Maybe it's not you, maybe it's someone you know.
Regardless we want to hear from you. Reach out at [email protected]
