Terry Siefken

hi, I'm Terry Siefken, and I'm the co-convenor of Voices for Forrest

After a long career as a mining inspector in Kalgoorlie, I retired to Myalup where I built our home and where we moved in 2024.

I've been involved with lots of different organizations in my lifetime and bring a broad experience and solid foundation in community group governance. I see it as very important work, to help community groups where I can.

I've been involved with the Scouts when my boys signed up, and put up my hand to be President of the parent committee. When they joined Air Force Cadets I became a uniformed instructor, eventually becoming the Commanding Officer for 709 Squadron.

With my wife Sandra I joined the Kalgoorlie Caledonian Society where I held the position of Secretary/Treasturer, standing up to the insurance company after an earthquake damaged our Hall, leading to a legal victory.
Other organisations that I have been involved with include the Kalgoorlie Boulder Pistol Club, where I've held the positions of President, Secretary, and Treasurer, at various times.

I joined Voices for Forrest because I like to contribute to making changes within the community, and use my analytical skills to solve problems.
