The Voices for Forrest team has been reinvigorated and is ready for work
Voices for Forrest went into hibernation when the candidate, Sue Chapman, announced her candidacy to contest the 2025 federal election. This was November 2024.
The reason for our hibernation is that we're a community group with a different focus: we aim to listen to all voices of the community. We don't campaign, or try to win.
Many of us still joined Sue's campaign, because the values she stood for are our values too: integrity, respect, community, environment. Sue made sure she listened to thousands of people across the electorate, for which we're deeply grateful.
Our new committee has been doing some deep thinking about why we exist and what we should spend our time doing. You can read our updated purpose statement here.
Our foundational values have remained unchanged.
With thanks to The People Place in Busselton, and Milligan. in Bunbury, for having space for us to come together.
We've started to host regular catch ups around the electorate, keep an eye on our newsletter and Facebook. We look forward to meeting you and hearing what matters for you!
